Lost in the sea,

No wind, no sail,

It’s happened before,

And I somehow prevail,

I look to the left,

A frightening silence,

I look to the right,

Waves of violence,

I look up to the sky,

No stars to guide,

I look down at the floor,

Rocking side by side,

From the front far ahead,

A light hit my eye,

Through my peripheral vision,

I took it as a lie,

A lighthouse sending,

Flickering pulses of hope,

Tied to my boat,

And I’m just pulling the rope!
