That’s all I have

A bright moon in the sky,
And me staring endlessly,
Into the moment that follows,
Thinking to myself about,
Just being in the moment,
Being richer than the rich,
Who look forward in time,
Better than the ones lost,
Who look back in the past,
Contrary to the usual,
All I have is this moment,
The moon, the sky, the calming light,
Expensive sight but free of cost,
Frequent but rarely noticed,
Enlightening but merely absorbed,
Hanging on a bit more,
And more to this phenomenal dark,
I surrender myself to this moment,
Hoping it doesn’t ever pass,
An endless conversation,
With this precious moment,
That’s all I have!
