A Moonless Night

Whenever I’m scared,

I run towards the terrace,

Or find an open ground,

Where I can look up into space,

Searching for my hope,

In a shining ball of light,

Peaceful and serene,

Illuminating my dark night,

But where is it today?

I don’t see it’s cold shine,

How could the sky take away,

The only thing I thought was mine,

With no moon in the sky,

I’m lost than I ever was,

A moonless night is a nightmare,

Even if there are a million stars!
