In the light of reason, I forgot to see the truth,
In the pursuit of earning, I forgot to live my youth,
In the scarcity of time, I learned to live alone,
In the abundance of expectations, I learned to kill my own.
I worked through my muscles, to pull myself up high,
I clenched my fists hard, to punch if I can't cry,
I swallowed my own breath, and called it a day,
I was bleeding from the heart, and said it's all okay.
